"WILD WOMAN"

THE CREATIVE IDEA

As I was reading the Estés book and thinking about her belief in the importance of the creative idea in women's lives, I was also watching the budding and blooming of a scarlet amaryllis. I began daily drawings of this fascinating plant and used the flower to represent the creative idea. I like to think about nature having a dominant hand over our human inclination to shape the earth which the almost visible, amarylis blooming encouraged in these playful drawings.
